Our guest house offers a variety of options for every traveler, including dorm rooms, private rooms, a fully equipped studio apartment, plus two fully-equipped 2-bedroom apartments with the option of A/C. The first floor contains one 3-person (#2) and one 4-person (#3) dorm room, a 3-person private room (#10), and five private double rooms (#1,4,5, 6 and Cabina #3). The shared bathrooms are located on the first floor (of which there are many and they are always clean!), as is the communal kitchen complete with refrigerator and gas stove. Upstairs you will find the apartment plus three private rooms with varying capacities (#7,8, and 9) which feature exterior doors as well as interior doors connecting to the apartment. This allows us some flexibility in renting them out depending on the size of your group.
The apartment itself has a capacity of two people, with a full-sized futon to sleep, hot water shower, full kitchen and television with DVD player. With the configuration upstairs, the apartment can be rented by itself, or with 1-, 2-, or 3-bedrooms attached, for a maximum capacity of 14 people. When the adjoining rooms are rented independent of the apartment, there is no access between the rooms and apartment.
The Cabinas at Casa Zen feature the two 2-bedroom apartments, and are located adjacent to the main guest house, 100 meters away from, and facing the beach. Cabina #1 has a double bed in one bedroom, and two twins in the other. Cabina #2 has a double bed in one bedroom, and a bunk and single bed in the other. Each Cabina has a private bathroom with hot water shower, a full kitchen, and a living room with television and DVD player. We have nearly 200 movies available for rent, so whether it be a rainy night, or you've just had a long day, we can help you relax in the evening!
Any inquiries about room availability can be made through our contact page, or by calling directly to Casa Zen. All reservations require a 50% deposit, easily payable with a credit card through Pay Pal, or for those already in Costa Rica, with a deposit directly at Banco Nacional. The remaining 50% is due in cash upon arrival. Casa Zen does not accept credit cards, with the exception of the payment of the deposit. There is a minimum of two nights for all reservations, and if only two days these must be paid in full prior to arrival.
