Located in Costa Rica on the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula, just 100 meters from the warm waters and white sand beaches of the Pacific Ocean, Casa Zen is a unique, Asian-inspired guest house and restaurant. Opened in late 2004 as a small, family-run business, we are proud and honored to have welcomed into the Casa Zen family hundreds of people from all over the world. Drawn to the year-round consistent waves and 8 kilometers of gorgeous sunny beaches, we are happy that many of our guests return year after year.

Each season brings familiar faces and new friends, and we continue to improve and add to the services we provide to our guests. Whether you are seeking a meditative yoga session on our second floor balcony, a relaxing massage in our spa, a surf lesson from our experienced instructors, sending a quick email to family back home, enjoying a movie on the big screen, or simply relaxing in a hammock with a book, we strive to make your vacation tailored to your desires. Additionally, since the beginning, we have operated with a philosophy of fair pricing, and strive to ensure that each service offered is in harmony with this belief.

The restaurant and rancho common area, open to guests and the public, serves as a natural meeting place for all, whether you are enjoying a light breakfast or lunch from the menu, or your own meal prepared in our communal kitchen. In the evening, it becomes a more formal setting where you can enjoy mouth-watering Thai food and a cool sangria, without breaking the bank.
